At Tree Tech, we pride ourselves on being one of Southern New England’s most respected and dedicated residential and commercial tree service companies.  Our dedication to the caring and preserving of trees is never more evident than on that special day set aside for recognizing the importance of our wonderful trees, Arbor Day. 

For the last 23 years, Tree Tech has enjoyed participating in Arbor Day by donating labor and equipment at properties in need of tree care that lack funding.   More recently, Tree Tech has done tree plantings and seedling give-ways at the schools and areas of Foxboro in need of tree beautification.  For Arbor Day 2010, Tree Tech is taking the celebration of trees to new heights.                                                                 

The first of two volunteer projects will take place at Boston’s Franklin Park in which Tree Tech will be donating a crew and equipment to work alongside the Boston Tree and Park Department.   This beautification project includes tree pruning, tree removal and general tree service designed to foster the long term health of indigenous trees and shrubs.

The second volunteer project is closer to home and the healthy hearts of our community. The new Foxboro recreation area will be the host to five of Tree Tech’s three person crews and equipment to prune and manage trees that are either dangerous or unsightly.   Tree Tech is going to alleviate competition on the nicer indigenous trees, spread wood chips in rough areas and help “connect” different areas of the park by thinning out trees and limbs that inhibit direction through the recreation site.  Lastly, Tree Tech will utilize its mechanized brush mowing equipment to remove undesirable vegetation along the edges of wooded areas and create a managed but natural setting – adding depth and function to the landscape and allowing the better trees to thrive.
                                                                 
Of course, an Arbor Day celebration would not be complete without following in the 135 year old foot-steps of its founder J. Sterling Morton by planting new trees.   Tree Tech has enlisted the hands on support of local landscape companies to help in the Foxboro recreation Arbor Day project by planting trees in needed areas.  The total value of Tree Tech’s 2010 Arbor Day donations is nearly $15,000….now that is what we call a celebration!
